Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain Video Compiles Kiefer Sutherland Voice Snippets

December 2, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom video of Kiefer Sutherland’s voice work.

Kiefer Sutherland voices Snake in place of David Hayter for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, and that idea leaves fans somewhat uneasy for the full release. In the video below you can conveniently listen to majority of Sutherland's voice work taken from trailer released thus far.

While Sutherland's voice doesn't rasp like David Hayter, similarities between their voices helps prevent jarring transition from character to character.

Konami announced Sutherland's role at a pre-E3 press conference this past June. Sutherland admits he doesn't play video games but at least knows of the Metal Gear Solid franchise.

The other Metal Gear Solid 5 title, Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes releases in spring of 2014 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Ground Zeroes presents the first truly open world structure found in a Metal Gear Solid title.
