We have a guide from you crowdsourced from the players on what are the first things to do when you enter the world of Battlefield 4.
Here’s what you can do to unlock useful weapons and classes quickly:
1. Beat the campaign on easy, and then give the charge to the girl at the end to get the RP90. You should breeze through it very easily, and the RP90 is a must have.
2. (At this point, if you want to get two more guns, you can repeat the last mission and go through the alternate ending, but the RP90 is more than sufficient.)
3. Bring the RP90 to team death match multiplayer on Engineer class to unlock the carbines. All classes can use carbines.
4. Switch to Recon class and use the AK-5C to unlock the carbines again, and the Recon class items. Switch to the 95B-1 and unlock its attachments. This gun is also available to every class, and is very user friendly and versatile.
5. Overall, you will want to have a top notch gun for each class you unlock, as it makes it easy to switch classes around for cooperative team play.
Outside of this, here are a few pointers you’ll want to keep in mind:
Practice all the vehicles in the test range. Of course, it also has all the guns you unlocked, as well as moving and stationary targets, but most important of all, it’s a place to practice flying.
Points are more important than kills in the world of Battlefield, so forget camping. Capturing an objective gets you 300 points, over 100 points for getting a kill. Healing, repairing, and giving teammates ammo also give you points. More importantly, these actions will give you ribbons and medals, which mean even more points.
So, say you get a 200 point ribbon for sharing ammo 8 times in a round. You can earn ribbons multiple times in one round, so earning 50 of those ribbons can get you a medal, which will itself be worth 10,000 to 20,000 points.
