Many PlayStation 4 users have issues logging into the PlayStation Network due to the European PS4 launch. Despite Sony's efforts to disable select PSN features to help the service under load, their efforts have been in vain as many users are experiencing difficulties in signing onto the service, much less buying games online or registering PS Plus accounts.
Sony is aware of the issues and has since posted an update on Twitter, which reads as follows: "We are aware some users are experiencing issues logging into PSN on PS4 due to the heavy traffic we are receiving, we're investigating."
The console manufacturer announced yesterday that it would be temporarily disabling two of PS4's PlayStation Network features – What's New and the Content Information Screen – to help ease the servers.
We expect the services to be resumed once the clamor over the PS4's release in Europe dies down.
