Digital PlayStation 4 games launched with higher prices on the PlayStation Network compared to the Xbox One digital store. After multiple complaints from European players, Sony informed Eurogamer of price adjustments coming before this week's European PS4 launch.
Sony explained their continued work on European servers changed some of the prices. In preparation for the launch, Sony plans to fix things accordingly. "However, as PS4 and PSN have not yet officially launched in this region, nothing on the PSN is final, including pricing on the store. You will continue to see some prices adjusted over the next few days in preparation for launch on Friday."
Following Sony's clarification, Ubisoft and EA titles on both the PlayStation Network and Xbox One Marketplace reached parity in pricing.
While the PS4 launched before the Xbox One on November 15, Microsoft launched the Xbox One in worldwide markets. The PlayStation 4 launches in Europe this Friday.
