Bayonetta Wii U Port Still Possible Before Bayonetta 2 Launch

November 22, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

Platinum Games can still port Bayonetta to the Wii U before the Bayonetta 2 release.

Bayonetta 2 launches exclusively on the Wii U in 2014, yet the first Bayonetta never appeared on Nintendo platforms. Game designer at Platinum Games, Hideki Kamiya, discussed the possibility of porting the first Bayonetta to Wii U before the Bayonetta 2 release.

In response to a Twitter question, Kamiya assured that Platinum Games could release a Bayonetta Wii U port in time for Bayonetta 2.

We can. RT @lightningboltac If Nintendo decided to release Bayo1 on WiiU, will u be able to port it in time before Bayo2's release? Or later

Platinum Games and Nintendo originally scheduled to release Bayonetta 2 in fall 2013, but pushed the date into 2014. With no specific month or season for the new release date, Platinum Games can use the extra time to port the first Bayonetta to Wii U.

Following the gameplay reveal, Platinum Games changed Bayonetta's look by trimming down her hair. You be the judge.
