Atomic Torch Studio has announced VoidExpanse – a spacefaring action role playing game which is set to be released on PC in 2014.
The game offers "boundless freedom to forge your own path in a galaxy rife with conflict."
VoidExpanse affords players robust skill tess and extensive customisation options for your ships. There's said to be several factions in the game, each of which has its own agenda, and players can choose to be a hero, renegade, or an opportunist out for his/her own gain.
VoidExpanse tells the tale of humanity following an alien war which we lost. According to the press release the game offers:
"A single-player campaign with a masterfully crafted story of open-exploration and difficult choices is only a small portion of VoidExpanse. With moddable sandbox modes, you can create your own procedurally generated galaxy to discover, and create persistent multiplayer worlds to band with other players – or destroy them."
Every aspect of the game can be modded and there's real-time combat with serious dangers but no auto-leveling enemies. You can opt ot play through a "carefully crafted campaign" or create your own galaxy in sandbox mode.
