At this point, you’ve probably played Minecraft in some form. Whether you started your blocky journey on the original PC version, or waited for the Xbox 360 edition to dig for all 24 hours in a day, Mojang and 4J Studios’ massively popular project has gotten around to millions of dedicated gamers. However, that won’t stop the developers from seeing the phenomenon from reaching an ever greater number of players. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will both get a taste of all the crafting not long after their respective releases, and the PlayStation 3 versions is almost ready to be tested.
4J Studios sent out a Tweet about the game’s progress, noting that it’s moving toward the testing stage of development.
“We’re hard at work getting Minecraft: PS3 Edition ready for testing just now,” the post reads. "No confirmed dates yet – we'll let you know when we have dates for the other platforms.”
Plenty of the glitches are likely being worked out as we speak, but it shouldn’t take too much longer to finally see this much downloaded game on a Sony console. Since neither the Xbox One or PS4 will have Minecraft as a launch title, look for the PS3 edition to get the most attention in the coming weeks.
