Death Stranding has been a highly anticipated and hyped video game title. After the split between Hideo Kojima and Konami, it was a wonder whether the developer would continue with the video game industry or take his leave completely. We of course now know that the famed developer has decided to make his studio known as Kojima Production. The video game studio went on to develop their debut title, Death Stranding which has been quite cryptic in terms of what all it would bring into the market.
With so many gamers around the world watching and anticipating the release of Death Stranding, we are finding out now just to what extent Kojima Productions was aided by Guerrilla Games. For those that were not aware already, Kojima Productions had announced that Death Stranding would make use of the Decima game engine from Guerrilla Games, the same engine that was used for Horizon Zero Dawn. With the engine, the studio was also going to get some help from the development team at Guerrilla Games and today we’re finding out that there were over 70 developers who lend a hand.
Reported by VGC, the developers helped in a wide range of aspects for Death Stranding such as visual effects, animation, audio, among other areas of the overall video game development process. We’re likely going to see some impressive visuals with the game and mechanics as there was quite a positive reception from Horizon Zero Dawn.
Currently, Death Stranding is slated to launch on November 8, 2019, for the PlayStation 4. However, it was announced that Death Stranding would also see a release on the PC platform in 2020.
