Sony is to offer a free 30 day trial for PlayStation Plus, as well as a 30 Music Unlimited trial, and $10 PS Store credit with every PS4 sold in North America.
On the PlayStation Blog Sony detailed the offer commenting:
"Out of the box, you can immediately experience everything PlayStation Plus for PS4 has to offer and have access to millions and millions of songs through Music Unlimited. The $10 credit can be used towards anything in the store including new PS4 launch titles, such as Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty Ghosts, and Killzone Shadow Fall."
PlayStation Plus is a requirement for online multiplayer on PS4 so offering users a month for free is a pretty smart move as it may encourage users to take out a longer subscription.
Plus also has an instant game collection which provides players with free game every month for the length of their subsciption and Sony has confirmed that Contrast will be one of the first PS4 games offered.
US players can also avail of an exclusive loyalty program. Sony Europe has not yet announced a similar offer or rewards scheme for those who pick up the PS4 in the region.
The PlayStation 4 is set for release next Friday, November 15th, in North America and on November 29th in Europe.
