It was Sony’s E3 2018 press conference that we got the unveiling of Nioh 2. During the conference, a small trailer showcased the video game which we can expect the over-the-top action RPG elements that were present during the first installment. Now a sequel is inbound though we’re waiting for more information to be revealed in terms of what the game premise will be and if there are any significant changes to the gameplay. So far we do know that there will be an option to customize your character a bit visually and that could carry over to some of the gameplay mechanics.
For those that are wanting to get a small taste of the game, an open beta is set to take place this weekend. Players will be creating their characters and going through the available content. However, if you were a fan of the original Nioh then you’ll be able to bring over your save data on the past installment which will make William available for the game.
From the looks of it, the open beta will mainly be about the combat aspect of the title. Players will be set in the Interim which will allow you to experiment with weapons before moving onto an actual stage. As a result, you’ll get a good look at the gameplay right from the start before jumping into the game and trying it out on a stage that is said to mimic The Village of Cursed Blossoms stage from the original Nioh installment.
Again, Team Ninja has announced the open beta will happen this weekend though you’ll have to wait until early 2020 before you’ll get a chance to enjoy the full video game. With that said, pre-orders, for the game are available on the PlayStation Store.
