Bethesda is a massive company and may be best known for its work on the Fallout and Elder Scrolls franchises. These RPGs are beloved and long-running, but lately, the company has been making a slight move into the mobile market. Now Bethesda has announced that they are taking another step into the mobile industry market by acquiring a mobile development studio Alpha Dog Games. This is certainly one big method of creating more smartphone video game titles as they have been doing it themselves for the past three releases.
For those that may not be aware, Bethesda released three mobile video game titles which were Fallout Shelter, The Elder Scrolls: Legends and most recently, The Elder Scrolls: Blades. All three are free-to-play which we’re uncertain if the new releases will be free with microtransactions going forward with Alpha Dog Games.
Regardless, the mobile development studio is known for its video game projects as well which are Wraithborne and MonstroCity: Rampage. It would be interesting to hear any of the fine details, but for now, it looks like more smartphone video games from Bethesda’s library of IPs are going to be coming down the line. Unfortunately, we don’t know just what is in the works just yet so we’ll have to keep tabs on any new announcements.
