We have a sneak preview on what may be the actual Prestige Emblems for Call of Duty: Ghosts. The source claims they found these emblems by looking at Steam code.
Unlike apparent previous leaks, these emblems do seem more realistic, and some seem based on actual military medals, although, of course, the skull motif probably isn’t based on reality.
Call of Duty: Ghosts boasts a new prestige system inextricably connected with squads and create-a-soldier. Each soldier will have their own level, unlocks and loadout. Customization options include gender, head, helmet, uniform, etc.
The more you play your soldiers in multiplayer, the more levels they go up. When your soldier finally reaches level 60, they Prestige. This is where they earn one of those prestige emblems, and subsequently, they retain their weapons, unlocks, etc. In this way, you no longer have to re-earn or re-unlock everything when you play again.
Ghosts also has one great new addition; instead of Prestiging only one super-soldier, you can prestige several at a time. You can Prestige as much as 10 individual squad members. Your COD account will register each Prestiged soldier as earning one Prestige level, so subsequently, you can earn as many as 10 Prestige levels.
Ultimately, this incentivizes players to make more and more soldiers. You can switch between soldiers to level up any time you want, to whatever levels you want, so if you feel one hasn’t progressed very well, you can drop them and try to Prestige someone else. Take a look at the emblems below.
