How To Trigger Battlefield 4 Maps’ Levolution Events

We can share for you now details on the Levolution events in the different multiplayer maps for Battlefield 4. You may be surprised at how grisly some of these can get. As a refresher, you can look at our guide to the map layouts here. As you can see below, the usefulness of these maps are limited when Levolution shakes things up.

Dawnbreaker

There are gas pipelines that run across the central avenue that you can blow up, causing the bridge to collapse. To do this, you need to mess with two valves just beneath the street. Tactically speaking, this will block vehicle movement, and also give you cover in one of the map’s rough spots. This will also apparently trigger the break of dawn.

Flood Zone

This is pretty obvious; you can destroy the levee and trigger flooding in the streets. Use any explosive device to accomplish this; C4, grenades, rockets, what have you. After flooding, battle pickups will no longer be available, but you will be able to use amphibious vehicles. As fighting moves to the rooftops, available paths, and the map layout, changes completely.

Golmud Railway

IEDs are scattered throughout the map, and can easily cause huge amounts of damage. They are also easily triggered with explosives or using control consoles. However, the moving train itself is also of interest. When you take control of the train, the capture point moves closer for you, and its mounted weapons also give you tactical advantage.

Hainan Resort

Burn down the hotel’s left and right wings by spilling oil in the two areas and setting them on fire with explosives. You will reduce visibility and make certain areas within the hotel inaccessible.

Lancang Dam

Destroy the dam by using explosives and rockets on the large crack in it. This will immediately shut off electricity in the area, disable a battle pickup, reduce visibility, and, of course, change the entire layout of the map.

Operation Locker

First off, a blizzard no one can control will invariably calm and double down, making it difficult to look into or outwards from the prison. Speaking of which, you can trap soldiers in the prison gates. If you then destroy a tower above it with explosives, you can kill all the trapped soldiers and render the weapons within the tower functional. The map layout will also change.

Paracel Storm

You can take out a wind turbine after it gets hit by lightning in a storm. Doing so will then lead to a US destroyer to its own destruction ashore. This will give access to the destroyer’s weapons on the ground and change map layouts. The storm will continue to range, breaking into large waves and affecting visibility.

Rogue Transmission

To bring the telescope receiver down towards the giant dish, you destroy the cables supporting it. This will make it unable to spawn vehicles and change the layout.

Siege of Shanghai

You can take down the skyscraper in the center by destroying its support with explosives. This will alter the map layout so dramatically that a capture point will actually be raised as a result. You can also move the bollards on the bridges up and down, affecting vehicular access to the tower.

 Zavod 311

To take out the warhead, you go to the central building and manipulate the tire. The ensuing explosion will send the smokestack tumbling, hurt players entering the area who have already been poisoned with radiation, and limit access to vehicles.
