Confirmation comes from Twitter user @Espadah_, who has been sharing off the cuff screencaps from his beta all week. Espadah_ does not confirm if they were able to play it or not in the beta, but the listing should be more than enough proof for anyone curious.
Search and Destroy, also known as S&D or SnD, is a game of elimination, with one team designated the attacker and the other the defender. Either team can win by eliminating all their opponents, but there are also bombs. These bombs start ticking as soon as the round starts and are purposely placed close to the attacker. These bombs can also only be held by one player at a time, and are dropped to the ground when the player holding it is killed. Once a bomb is planted time limits are taken away until a bomb detonates or is successfully defused. Bombs can be defused, and by default it takes five seconds to do so.
So the attacking team will want to plant the bomb in one of the target locations and defend it until time runs out to defuse it. In contrast, the defending team will want to defuse planted bombs, but can also win if time runs out without any bomb getting planted. The defending team automatically wins after they successfully defuse a bomb.
Call of Duty players love this mode mostly for the experience, so this will come as welcome news for competitive fans. You can get your fill of the game November 5 on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and Windows, and at launch for both the Xbox One and Playstation 4.
