GTA 5: Use This Trick To Rob A Truck Without Getting A Wanted Level

October 22, 2013 by Ryan Parreno

Play smart and get easy money without the hassle of an extended getaway.

We have a handy little tip for Grand Theft Auto 5 on how to rob armored trucks without getting marked as wanted by the police. This trick is guaranteed to work on the single player game, but we’ll get into multiplayer, and another alternate trick, as well.

So, you may have noticed while roaming the streets of Los Santos that there is an occasional armored truck parked near the road. You will also see this truck on the map as a blue dot. That truck always has two armed guards; one is carrying a silver money case at the back, while the other is leaning on the truck outside and is waiting for his friend.

Now, your options stealing from this truck include shooting it out with the guards, shooting the handles off the back doors, or sticky bombing the back doors to get the case and the money. All these techniques will immediately get you flagged down as wanted, and at this point you usually make a sloppy hasty getaway.

That can be fun and all, but you can avoid all that noise completely. Here’s how:

You need a motorcycle. You approach the truck in an average speed, and you do so carefully and deliberately. You need to bump the guard holding the case so he stumbles and drops it. While he’s on the ground, you take the opportunity to grab the case.

When the guards draw fire on you, get on the bike and run off. You’ll get away scot free!

Regarding online, it seems everyone in your lobby needs to be at a higher level for the trucks to come out, so don’t expect to try this out there most of the time.

Another fan suggests a small variation to the sticky bomb trick; you throw the bombs at the back door while the vehicle is in motion. The case will fall out and conveniently come to you, and if you’re lucky, the poor guards might not even notice.
