Bionic Dues is a Roguelike With a Twist

October 21, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

If you’re looking for a roguelike with a twist, Bionic Dues might just be that game.

bionic dues

There are plenty of new games, and one of them is Bionic Dues. The reason we chose to highlight this instead of, say, any number of DOTA clones and Minecraft-likes is because Bionic Dues does something different from the rest of the crowd.

Developed by AI War developer Arcen Games, this robo-roguelike is a tactical take on the genre. You're a lone exosuit pilot with fifty days to prepare for a full-scale invasion of your base. Preparation requires selecting missions, which can either reduce the strength of the final assault, or bolster your defenses with better weapons and upgrades.

Once a mission is selected, you'll have to go through corridors, killing robots, hacking computers, and using special abilities along the way as you navigate your way through the level.

As I mentioned in the first paragraph, the game is out now. Grab it here.
