Microsoft just announced a scheme to allow existing Gears of War 3 beta testers to invite their friends to join them in the test.
All pre-existing players will receive a "buddy token" which will grant an Xbox Live friend access to the beta.
Players can also earn additional buddy tokens by performing the following actions:
- Purchase any Gears of War content from the Xbox Live Marketplace
- Play 20 or more hours in the Gears of War 3 beta. Any time already spent in the beta count towards this challenge
- Add a 12-month Xbox Live Gold subscription to your existing account
- Play more than 100 hours of any "Gears of War" title, lifetime to date
Players will have until 4 May to complete the challenges, and tokens will be distributed by email from 8 May.
