Enter The Gungeon was a highly beloved video game title from the development studio Dodge Roll. In this bullet hell title, players enter an area known as the Gungeon in hopes of killing their past and since this game offers roguelike elements, there was plenty of replay value for players. This game is also still relatively new, it was only released in 2016 for the PC and PlayStation 4 platforms but found its way onto the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch that following year. Now we’re finding out about a new spin-off game that will be releasing first for the Apple Arcade.
The video game is Exit The Gungeon and it’s another title that carries the same elements as its predecessor but with the overall goal of making your way out of this complex maze. It’s still newly announced so more details will likely make its way out into the public, but one thing is for sure, Exit The Gungeon is its timed exclusivity to the Apple Arcade platform.
Exit the Gungeon is a bullet hell dungeon climber immediately following the adventures of the misfit ‘Gungeoneers’ and their journey for personal absolution in Enter the Gungeon. The Gungeon has become a paradox and is collapsing! Armed with an ever-changing weapon, an insatiable need to loot, and the trusty dodge roll, each of our heroes must ascend and escape via their own unique route of increasingly perilous elevators. Battle against the last and most bitter of the Gundead at a frantic pace, slowing down just long enough to chat with some familiar faces… and a few new ones. Shifting rooms, enemies, bosses, bizarre weapons and items all combine to ensure that no two attempts to Exit the Gungeon are the same.
For those of you who are not aware, the Apple Arcade is a subscription service being offered through Apple devices like the iPad and iPhone. It will give players access to a number of application video games for free with its monthly subscription, but you can expect a more premium experience with these games. While most mobile titles are filled with in-app purchases and ads, these games will not feature the extra money-making attributes developers tend to add into their releases.
Fortunately, if you’re not interested in Apple Arcade, it does seem that Exit The Gungeon will be available for the PC platform though it was not stated just when we can expect a release quite yet. For now, you can take a look at the latest trailer posted above along with our Before You buy of Enter The Gungeon below.
