Jonathan Blow, creator of Braid and the PS4-exclusive title The Witness, the latter of which is currently in development, released a host of new screenshots for his new game.
In his post on the offiical PlayStation blog, Blow described The Witness as a game taking place on an island full of puzzles—an open world where you can do anything you want and not be forced down a linear path. Blow said that the game is between 25-40 hours long depending on how much you play, as some of the game is entirely optional.
Originally intended as an 8-hour game, The Witness expanded in its size and scope as its developers turned it into what Blow calls "the biggest and most intricate world ever built for a puzzle game."
It might just be time for Myst to move aside.
