After the dismal launch of Resident Evil 6, few were excited to jump back into the zombie-infested franchise that once dominated the survival-horror genre. Sales projections continued to lower once the poor reviews arrived, and really, it seemed like Capcom had just lost faith in the chilling core of its staple series. Many people argued that a reboot would be the only way to save the shambling Resident Evil, but a newly discovered listing on LinkedIn might have just revealed a seventh (yes, seventh) game in development.
That’s at least according to the work history of Karen Brakenridge, who noted experience as a costume designer for Resident Evil 7 during her time with House of Movies. The slipup can be seen below.

“House of Moves did mo-cap clean up, targeting, facial and secondary animation for Gears of War 3,” said Chris Mielke, producer at Epic Games. “They were by far the best vendor we've ever had. They seemed to get all the details correct with very little data we had available from our mo-cap shoots.”
Information is scare at this time, but the popularity of the Resident Evil franchise will likely make it difficult for Capcom to not move forward with a new game – even if its most recent effort was a stinker. Expect more information down the road.
