Ubisoft has revealed the first details on Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag's upcoming single-player DLC, which revolves around Edward Kenway's first mate, Adawale. The DLC is titled "Freedom Cry" and is slated for a March 2014 launch.
Much like the DLC for Assassin's Creed 3, Freedom Cry offers a self-contained single-player story set 15 years after the event of Assassin's Creed 4. Spanning nine missions in length, the DLC will be available as a part of a DLC Season Pass, which offers a 20 percent discount on purchasing all the DLC individually. Further details about the DLC season pass can be found here.
"Born a slave, Adewale found freedom as a pirate aboard the Jackdaw as Captain Edward Kenway’s second-in-command," reads the description provided by Ubisoft. "Fifteen years later, Adewale has become a trained assassin and finds himself shipwrecked in Saint-Domingue with no weapon nor crew, starting a new adventure of his own."
The Season Pass will be available for purchase at the game's launch on Nov. 1 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game will also be out on next-gen platforms and the PC on Nov. 22.
