Assassin’s Creed 4 PC Requirements Emerge

October 3, 2013 by Stephen Daly

30GB of free disk space and 64 bit OS needed.

Following the listing of Watch_Dogs' PC requirements earlier today Spanish site 3DJuegos has revealed what you'll need in order to run Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.

As with Watch_Dogs; Ubisoft seems to have dropped support for 32 bit operating systems. You can find both the minimum and recommended specs below. The game supports controller play and takes 10GB more to install than Watch_Dogs.

Minimum:

  • Operating system: Windows Vista SP1, Windows 7, or Windows 8. While the game may run on 32 bit systems it won't receive official support.
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad [email protected] GHz or AMD Athlon II X4 [email protected] GHz.
  • RAM: 2GB.
  • DirectX: DirectX June 2010 Redistributable.
  • Disk Space: 30GB.
  • Sound: DirectX compatible sound card with the latest drivers installed.

Recommended:

  • Operating System: Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8 (both 32/64bit versions).
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 [email protected] GHz or AMD Phenom II x4 [email protected] GHz or better.
  • RAM: 4GB or more.
  • Video card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 470 or AMD Radeon HD 5850 (1024MB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0) or better.
  • Supported video cards at the time of release: Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or better, GT400, GT500, GT600, GT700 or AMD Radeon HD4870 series or better, HD5000, HD6000, HD7000 series.

Yesterday, the game's lead designer Jean-Sebastien Decant explained why Assassin's Creed 4 is being delayed for PC saying that development starts last on that platform and the team needs an extra few weeks to create a polished experience.

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag will be released on PC on November 19th.
