Capcom Europe is currently undergoing some major restructuring, leading to the layoffs of more than half its employees. According to MCV, over half its staff in Europe will be facing redundancy, as jobs are set to merge.
In spite of the company's recent success in the Japanese market with the release of Monster Hunter 4 for the Nintendo 3DS, its Western arm hasn't been holding up quite as well.
Speaking to MCV, a spokesperson disclosed the following information: “Following a restructure at its US operation, Capcom’s European organisation is currently evaluating its structure to ensure it is in the best position to take advantage of the changing market conditions the industry is facing.”
We wish all affected employees the best of luck and hope they land on their feet.
