Tom Clancy, best-selling author for novels like Clear and Present Danger, passed away in a Baltimore hospital last night.
The 66 year old author published over a dozen novels which many readers praised for their military accuracy. Tom Clancy's most recent novel, Threat Vector, reached the third spot on the USA Today Best-Selling books. One of Tom Clancy's notable novels, The Hunt for Red October, received a movie adaptation in 1984 that stared Alex Baldwin.
Within the video game industry fans know Tom Clancy for helping found studio Red Storm Entertainment. Red Storm developed a number of well received games such as Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.
Tom Clancy's name will appear on Ubisoft's upcoming release, Tom Clancy's The Division.
