Rage 2 Will Receive New Game Modes In The Next Update

July 17, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Here’s a new reason to replay Rage 2.

Rage 2 launched back in May of this year and while it may not have been the biggest success in the world, there are still plenty of gamers out there that enjoyed the action-packed journey. This first-person shooter follows a ranger named Walker who can freely explore the open world after it was struck by the 99942 Apophis asteroid. Developers Avalanche Studio focused on delivering an over-the-top action combat experience, but again, the title has been receiving some mediocre attention from gamers.

If you picked up Rage 2 and went through the game campaign, Avalanche Studio is going to provide an incentive for you to replay the game once again. In a new announcement made on the official publisher Twitter account, it was unveiled that Rage 2 will receive three new game modes during an upcoming update. For starters, we have a game mode that wasn’t touched upon called Ironman Mode. Then we have the more traditional New Game Plus+ mode which offers a chance for players replay the game from the start but retain all of their upgrades and weapons. Lastly, there is the Ultra-Nightmare mode that will provide an even harder difficulty.

Outside of the new game modes, it was also stated that the update for Rage 2 will include new life improvements. These will range from adding a flashlight to help see in dark areas of the map to being able to skip tutorials. We’re sure that more improvements will be made for the update so we’ll have to wait and see just what else is included. Luckily we won’t have to wait too long as the update is said to come on July 25, 2019.
