Shadowrun Returns, the Kickstarter-backed revival of the turn-based pen-and-paper game saw no small amount of success when it was first released on the Mac and PC. Today, the game sees release on both iOS and Android tablets, and is available through Apple iTunes and Google Play for $9.99, Harebrained Schemes has announced.
Unlike the desktop version, which comes with a content creator and editor for players to create their very own missions, modules, and adventures, the tablet version of the game comes with only the game's single-player campaign. Its developers state that they have plans to release a bundle of the best user-created content to the devices in the future, however.
"When Jordan created the original world of Shadowrun, he didn't predict that people would one day interact with that world on touch-screen computers more powerful than the one that took us to the moon," the Kickstarter update reads. "It is extremely gratifying that the enthusiasm for this game setting has stood the test of time and that we are now able to deliver it on mobile devices to a new generation of gamers."
Additional, official content is currently in development for Shadowrun Returns on the Mac and PC, which continues to be updated by its developers.
