When it comes to 2020 video game releases, there are already a few big hitters that gamers are waiting for upcoming releases. One of those is Cyberpunk 2077, a title that has been in development by CD Projekt Red for a few years now. After the launch of The Witcher 3 and its expansions, the development studio shifted over to their next IP open world RPG title, Cyberpunk 2077. This upcoming title puts players into the role of a mercenary that is working with various groups in order to make a dollar and keep a roof over their head. However, if you’re worrying that you’ll blow through the game quickly then you should rest easy now knowing that there are two additional projects in the works for franchise.
First off CD Projekt Red is working on the main campaign video game title that will be releasing next year. What will not release is a multiplayer component, something that was being debated internally if there would even be a multiplayer option for the game. Well, it looks like gamers will be able to connect together in some shape or form as reports have come out of the multiplayer element during a CD Projekt conference. Furthermore, it looks like there will be an additional video game RPG set in the same universe that will launch after Cyberpunk 2077. We don’t really know anything about this game yet but it will apparently be coming out before the end of 2021.
In other news, E3 2019 revealed that actor Keanu Reeves will be playing a role in Cyberpunk 2077 and that there will be three playable prologues that can shape the background of your protagonist in the game. As for when you can pick up Cyberpunk 2077, you can mark your calendars for the title to release on April 16, 2020, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
