We have a new set of pictures for you comparing places in Grand Theft Auto 5, in Vespucci Beach, Los Santos, to real life locations in Venice Beach, California, particularly the Venice Beach Recreation Center.
The Venice Beach Recreation Center refers to a set of state and private owned recreational facilities, that range from Ocean Front Walk and the bike path to the north, all the way to North Venice Boulevard to the south.
The Venice Beach Skatepark, first opened in 2009, fast became a recognizable and popular spot in California. Its open sandbowl shape and lack of an enclosure invites skaters from all over the world to dive in for free.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, Muscle Beach is one of the oldest famous gyms in the world, famous for its role in the spread of bodybuilding culture and as one of the major outdoor gyms. It is represented in GTA 5 by Muscle Sands.
The boardwalk is a colorful area, filled with street attractions, roadside stalls, and people of all kinds. The open bike path is also known for the graffiti that line the walls and numerous objects surrounding it.
Sorry if this sounds a bit too much like a tourist guide for Venice Beach, but in a way, Vespucci Beach is a twisted advertisement for the famous city. The campy, funny changes Rockstar has made to make their own version of the city make it more suitable to the Grand Theft Auto series, but there is enough similarity there for you to pretend to roam around Venice Beach, if you wanted to. Expect to find your way around every location mentioned above. You can check out the gallery below.
