After three days on retail shelves and digital stores, Take-Two Interactive estimates that Grand Theft Auto 5 sales surpassed $1 billion in sales.
Grand Theft Auto 5 continues to break records as it currently sits as the fastest selling game in UK history with 1.57 million copies sold in just 24 hours. Take-Two Interactive also achieved another sales milestone as Grand Theft Auto 5 represents the publisher's fastest selling product ever.
Call of Duty held previous sales records with Black Ops 2 earning $500 million in the first 24 hours of release. Call of Duty: Ghosts, the newest entry from Infinity Ward, may soon beat the record as GameStop's most pre-ordered title.
People can purchase Grand Theft Auto 5 on the Xbox 360 and PS3. Next generation and PC versions still remained unannounced.
