The Battlelog service will return to Battlefield 4 with a number of changes to functionality and a few new features.
Battlelog will act similarly to applications like Call of Duty: ELITE or the Need for Speed Autolog. Battlelog allows players to track in-game statistics, customize loadouts or browse leaderboards. Most features will return from Battlefield 3's Battlelog and also include a number of convenient changes.
The new Battlelog feeds the player a wide range of information from in-game statistics to the status of friends. Missions allow players to create challenges in which friends can try to beat alongside other accomplishments players will naturally achieve. Notifications at the top right of a player's screen can detail if a friend beat ant scores or if they just want to join a squad.
The Battlelog overlay will provide a more detailed overview for both multiplayer and single player aspects. The Battlelog overlay – built for the PC and next generation consoles – will list active friends, weapons loadouts, servers and even the progress of certain challenges. Instead of quitting out of a game to search for another server or to join a friend's lobby, the overlay will allow players to quickly perform a number of actions in an instant.
Mobile devices will also receive Battlelog support, allowing users to perform all the same actions, including the new emblem creation used for your in-game character and weapon.
For more information the new features of the Battlefield 4 Battlelog, DICE goes into further detail on their official blog.
