This year there has been plenty of excitement with the Vampire: The Masquerade series as Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was announced. However, it looks like another title is in the works as well which is being called Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York, a narrative-driven video game. This video game is being developed by Draw Distance who is making this particular video game appealing to a wider audience and a great jumping point if you’re not familiar with the franchise.
So far some of the fine details are still being kept away from the general public. However, we do know that the title will put players into one of three optional characters that will have ties to their own faction. Each faction will also have their own unique attributes and abilities as you embark on your journey to build up a coterie. However, as mentioned the video game is going to be heavily narrative based and will at times act like a Telltale Games title with choices being presented to players. Depending on the choice you make will determine the consequence that comes later and it does appear that there will be multiple endings that should make for some great replay value.
While we are still waiting to get some of the more fine details about the narrative story, it does appear that this game will be based off the Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition.
Unlike the anticipated release of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York will be launching later this year. Currently, the release date is only set for the fourth quarter of this year for PC and Nintendo Switch platforms.
