If you got the Grand Theft Auto 5 Special Edition, the map hides some amazing secrets – if you’ve got a UV light around. This is obviously a spoiler zone, so keep out unless you don’t care!
Flashing UV over the map apparently reveals a hidden message, and some markings all over it. As transcribed by NeoGAF OP EatChildren (sorry, that’s really his handle), this is what it says:
- T.P.E – Trevor Philips Enterprises.
- Weaponry, narcotics, intimidation and casual wear.
- Lago Zan Cudo.
- Great Ocean, Highway north,
- through north Chumash,
- 0.5 miles past Raton Canyon.
- When guard rail ends,
- follow the dirt road down the docks.
- Bring $500,000 cash.
Follow up comments of course speculate that this is related to some Area 51/alien invasion mission. Fellow NeoGAFfer Thezez claims to have followed through with the instructions and found himself around a $ 250,000 property. Going there gives you a submarine at the end of the dock, and now he is going to have a go at some underwater missions.
So it looks like this could be a part of the main game, and not just some tacked on bonus content. Rockstar has shared images of a submarine before (see featured image). I also wager this may not be the only way to find your way to the submarine and these missions, but is probably a shortcut made just for owners of the Special Edition.
In case you did not know, this is the first time you have full control of a submarine in the whole series. You will definitely want to check this out if you are a fan.
