Cyberpunk 2077 has been one of the most anticipated video game titles for a couple of years now though it was only this past year that we got some real footage for the title. During E3 2018 we got a teaser trailer though the press who attended the event was able to have a private meeting with CD Projekt Red scheduling permitted that allowed an early look into the gameplay of the title. This left plenty more hype and reports going up online as to what gamers can expect from the title. Fortunately, that gameplay footage was later released online for the general public to enjoy.
However, E3 2019 will hold a similar event with press media relations scheduling up gamers from publication outlets to go behind doors in order to get a full hour-long presentation. This report comes from SpielTimes, which stated that the email going out to outlets are confirming no audio, footage or pictures are permitted during the presentation. This is certainly a big letdown to those who are not able to make the expo or will be watching at home. One aspect that may be reassuring to some is that if this is anything like last year then CD Projekt Red will likely display the game footage shown off during E3 to the public shortly after expo ends.
For now, we don’t have a release date for Cyberpunk 2077 but it does appear to be a current generation video game title. Perhaps during E3 2019, we’ll finally have a release date we can attach to the IP.
