Glaceon and Leafeon are starting to appear in Pokémon GO — and these new Eevee evolutions totally have a fun trick you can use to unlock them every single time. Like the other Eevee evolutions, it’s all about the nickname; pick the right nickname, and your Eevee will transform into the evolution of your choice. It’s an awesome system, and I’ll explain everything you need to know in the quick guide below.
Let’s talk a little bit about Eevee first. Eevee is very unique Pokémon that can transform into multiple different forms — we already have Jolteon, Vaporeon, Flareon, Espeon, and Umbreon. Now we’re got Glaceon (Ice Type) and Leafeon (Grass Type) to round out the bunch. Each Eevee evolution is a different type, so depending on your favorite elemental powers, you can customize your evolution and pick your favorite.
All the Eevees have different nicknames you can input to select the evolution you want, and Glaceon / Leafeon are no different.

Eeveelution Trick For Glaceon & Leafeon | How To Get Them Every Time
With the latest update to Pokémon GO, Eevee can now evolve into a total of seven forms — Jolteon, Vaporeon, Flareon, Umbreon, Espeon, Glaceon, and Leafeon.
Glaceon and Leafeon are the newest additions to the Eevee family, and if you want to evolve Eevee into either of these two unique types, you just need to change their nicknames before they evolve!
- How To Evolve Into Glaceon
- Give Eevee this nickname: Rea
- How To Evolve Into Leafeon
- Give Eevee this nickname: Linnea
This trick will only work the first time you use it. You’ll notice that the silhouette of the Eevee will change to the silhouette of your chosen evolution after naming them. That’s your best sign that this trick will work for you.
