Jojoâ€™s All-Stars, Final Fantasy 14 Top Japan Sales For The Week

It’s a week for remakes in Japan as JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle and Final Fantasy 14 Online: A Realm Reborn for the Playstation 3 both debut at the top 2 spots. Ragnarok Odyssey Ace and Lost Planet 3 fight it out for the remaining two slots, as Disney Magic Castle: My Happy Life rounds it off at Number 5.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle is pegged as the ultimate Jojo’s video game. Made by Naruto game makers Cyberconnect2, Jojo’s covers several generations and storylines in the long-running manga series, and feature 3D fighter gameplay.

Final Fantasy 14 Online: A Realm Reborn should need no introduction. This game’s launch issues following high demand are very much reminiscent of the SimCity fiasco, although Square Enix didn’t have as huge a communication problem as EA did with the latter.

Ragnarok Odyssey Ace is a remake of the highly regarded Ragnarok Odyssey for the Playstation Vita. The remake includes all the original game’s DLC, new content, including a new soundtrack by Nobuo Uematsu, and the ability to transfer saves over from the original game.

Lost Planet 3 is the 3^rd person shooter prequel to the Lost Planet series Capcom has outsourced to Spark Unlimited. The game failed to make sparks in the UK, but it seems Japan was more receptive to the new installment in the series, even its new direction.

The sum total of these Playstation 3 debuts has propped up Playstation 3 sales, somewhere between 6,000 to 8,000 units.
