Don’t get too excited as we don’t have any real announcements or unveiling to showcase for the upcoming Call of Duty title. Each year a new installment hits the market and while we don’t know just what Call of Duty 2019 will consist of, there are some questions from fans regarding its available game modes. Most often these titles include a campaign along with an online multiplayer game mode, but the previous installment release, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, made the drastic change.
It can be argued that there may be a majority of players purchasing the Call of Duty installments simply as a means to jump online and enjoy the various multiplayer game modes. For those who picked the games up to seek out its campaigns were a letdown in 2018 as Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 released without the standard campaign mode. Instead, the focus from the Treyarch team was to offer a Call of Duty title that only provided content for multiplayer game modes rather than splitting the team up in order to deliver a small campaign narrative as well.
As a result, there were some concerns that the next installment would end up also scrapping a standard campaign mode for players to enjoy but that’s not the case. This announcement came during an earnings call with Activision but did not go into great detail on what players can expect from the game other than the inclusion of a campaign mode. For now, players can enjoy the latest installment, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, on the PC, PlayStation 4 and lastly, Xbox One platforms while we wait for the official reveal for Call of Duty 2019.
