In announcing details for their The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses concert next month, Nintendo has also confirmed the North American release date for The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD. Just like Europe, the game will be releasing on October 4.
To get back to the concert for a moment, The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses is a concert series that features the music of The Legend of Zelda series. This particular concert will be performed by the Seattle Symphony, to be held September 12 at Benaroya Hall. The venue will have kiosks that will provide gameplay demos for both The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, and a fan art contest is also running on the Nintendo Facebook page now.
Looking back at the E3 announced 2013 lineup of Wii U games, Pikmin 3 came out August 4, and Wonderful 101 is releasing September 15. Wii Party U is also tentatively dated for October, with Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze slated for November 15, and Super Mario 3D World and Wii Fit U coming December.
All things considered, October 4 is a surprisingly early release date for The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, but no doubt a welcome one. If this date is true, then it is highly likely the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD Wii U special edition, which has a similarly revealed Zelda-embossed Gamepad, will also be available on that date, taking an early lead on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
