EA Games’ Need for Speed: Rivals will be an Xbox One launch title – that much we know. With that information in mind, learning that the annual racing game will be hitting store shelves Nov. 21 could also mean that we’ll be seeing Microsoft’s next-generation console make its debut on the same day.
Game Informer was first to notice what could be a major slipup by EA, which at this time, should not be treated as a solid confirmation. Rivals could just be moved from launch day to that ever-present “launch window,” but it is something to watch. This would make the Xbox One a late November player, with Black Friday still a major retail day to take advantage of.
