With THQ out of the picture, EA Games will now run the video game adaptation for the world’s fastest growing sport. During today’s EA press event at Gamescom, a release window was revealed for EA Sports UFC, as well as a bit of pre-alpha footage that showcased the immense amount of detail available for each and every fighter on the roster.
Creative director and fight fan Brian Hayes mentioned on stage that the game is about nine months away from the store shelves, making it a late spring release. It will take advantage of the new hardware, launching on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Movement, muscle reaction, and body deformation were all key to the presentation, which showed an upcoming light heavyweight title fight in action.
If you’re a fan of this quickly expanding sport, this seems like the most complete software representation to date. Keep an eye out for more information.
