Mojang released an update for Minecraft Pocket Edition earlier today. Daniel Kaplan announced that the update was live when he Tweeted a picture of one of the new features: a night sky that now features the moon and stars.

Naturally, when the moon goes to bed the sun comes up, and you can even watch some beautiful sunrises with the sky turning red before it lightens to the blue of day. I filmed one such sunrise for this video:
The other additions are minor, though they'll likely be important to the way some players choose to play the game. The quartz slabs do look very nice laid out on the floor like kitchen tile, and the double chests look pretty snazzy too. It's
As for Realms, if you've managed to get yourself one of the few free servers available during this Alpha then you can now reset it if you want to start over. This will come in handy when people have actually paid for the Realms service and feel they should be able to restart their Realm without having to pay again.
