When you look at the Call of Duty franchise and the multiple sequels over the years, it can be difficult to see just what’s exactly changed about the core gameplay experience. If you’re not exactly a savvy series veteran, you might not even be able to tell the difference between the online components of Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3. However, Activision it looking to make a few creative strides in the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts, which will be playable on both current and next-generation hardware. After plenty of noise coming from the community, both female soldiers and some form of environmental destruction will be featured in Ghosts.
The multiplayer reveal that happened just moments ago showed walls being taken down, gas stations collapsing from the impact of explosives, and, maybe most surprisingly, a woman delivering some serious destruction. It’s a nice change of pace, and one that will likely see a big reaction.
