Former Telltale Games Writer Lands Job At Insomniac Games

December 17, 2018 by Dennis Patrick

Mary Kenney starts her new job next year.

When it comes to Telltale Games, there biggest aspect for each release is based around the narrative journey. Most of the games released from the studio involved players exploring the environments and quick time events in order to progress. But what kept gamers coming back for each new release was the narrative story as the studio was able to retell stories in new ways for already established IPs or provide additional narrative journeys. Either way, the writers behind the video game titles definitely provided some top-notch work. One of those writers have alerted through her Twitter account that she will soon start work in her new role at Insomniac Games

Insomniac Games is a pretty well-known video game development studio as well and its one that’s been around since the 1990s. With franchises included Spyro, Ratchet & Clank, Sunset Overdrive and their latest release, Spider-Man, the studio is already established with a strong fan base. Their latest title, Spider-Man was a massive hit in its own right and now it looks like their writing game for the narrative stories told through their upcoming releases will be even stronger thanks to Marry Kenney. Marry was responsible for writing leads in different Telltale Games episodes and while she didn’t state just what role will be at Insomniac Games, we imagine it will be relatively the same as her previous position at Telltale Games.

Welcome aboard!!! https://t.co/tqSxjsUyHE

According to her Twitter post, the new job will start after the New Year and we wish her the very best. Currently, Telltale Games is closed down so other developers are likely moving on to new development studios as well if they have already made the transition. When it comes to Telltale Games latest release, The Walking Dead: The Final Season the title was picked up by Skybound Games with the latest two episodes launching next year.
