Rayman Legends Trailer Debuts Mario and Luigi Costumes for Wii U

August 7, 2013 by Josiah Renaudin

Wii U owners can finally be excited about something related to Origins.

Wii U owners should be a little bit upset over how Rayman Legends has been handled up to this point. After going from a Nintendo-exclusive project, to a multiplatform release, and then to a game that’s even coming out on handheld systems, Ubisoft has done everything but throw a middle finger to the Wii U owners dying to get their floating hands on this platformer. Even if Legends will be coming to every platform under the sun, the Wii U version will still (technically) be the most complete game of the bunch. A brand new trailer showcases the Mario and Luigi outfits you’ll be able to equip in the co-op title, and as you’d guess, they will only be available on the Wii U.

It will take about 20 minutes of gameplay to see Rayman and friends don the famous plumbers’ outfits, but if you’re a fan of Nintendo’s platforming staple, it’ll be worth the minor wait. The above trailer shows just how the costumes look in action, as well as a great deal of new gameplay footage that emphasizes the advantages of the GamePad. If you enjoy reaching out and touching each and every jump, puzzle, and Lum you encounter, there’s no better choice that Nintendo’s platform.

After a long, long journey, we’re almost at the launch date for Rayman Origins. If you’d like to experience the game on PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii U, Vita, or likely the Atari Jaguar, your wish will finally be answered Sep. 3.
