What’s the one thing that every Call of Duty game has been missing? If your answer sounds something like, “a giant robot who will likely stomp you into the ground,” a new teaser trailer for something called “Origins” is going to blow you away. If that’s not exactly what you’ve been looking for, the Black Ops 2 video featured below is still an interesting look at what could be the last piece of content for the world’s biggest shooter.
Treyarch Studios isn’t done with Black Ops 2 quite yet. The 90-second video might not be all that descriptive, but the phrase “everything has a beginning… and an end” points toward this Origins content as being the last in a long string of DLC. Trench warfare can be seen around the end of the video, as well as a clip of four soldiers staring off into the distance. Hopefully, they’re looking at the giant metal fiend that stomps the screen before the video comes to a close.
Up to this point, that $50 people spent on the Black Ops 2 Season Pass has unlocked the Revolution, Uprising, and Vengeance map packs, which are $15 on their own. Four packs were promised for Black Ops 2, so expect Origins to be the last of the Season Pass offerings. With Infinity Ward preparing to debut multiplayer footage of Ghosts just a week from now, this would be the perfect time for Treyarch to complete its own Call of Duty saga and move on to bigger, better things.
