It’s often that we hear about a game in development, get a single teaser trailer, and are left in the dark for months afterward. But some games are just too hotly anticipated to not be discussed during development, and Dean Hall, the man behind DayZ, seems to understand that. He’s been working to create a standalone version of the ARMA 2 mod that took so many fans of the undead by storm, and thankfully, he’s providing updates almost every step of the way through his active Twitter account. If you’re interested in what’s being done with this PC project, be prepared to read up on his “DayZ Daily” updates.
What's being added to the game right now? If you take a look at Hall’s latest Tweet, you can see that some work is being put in on the game’s AI.
“Right now I'm further scoping the new proposal for zombie AI, tasking bugs associated with the MP test, and reviewing new items,” he posted.
Hall is well known for listening to his vocal audience, as it sounds as if ragdoll physics are being considered just because so many people have asked him about it.
"The official stance is that ragdoll, which was extremely high on my requested features list, has been tabled for review at a later stage," wrote Hall.
The man is listening. If you’re also a member of the Twitter world and want to submit your opinion, it wouldn’t hurt to give Hall a follow and see if he’ll consider your ideas for the game.
