Naughty Dog Releases The Last of Us’ Alternative Ending Concept Art

August 6, 2013 by Stephen Daly

The Last of Us’ ending went through several iterations.

Naughty Dog's creative director Neil Druckmann has released concept art showing an alternative ending to The Last of Us and promised that we'll see "how it originally ended" at a PAX Prime panel next month.

The panel, entitled Pitching The Last of Us, will feature Druckmann and game director Bruce Straley who will discuss how they went about convincing Sony to back the project.

"But really, Neil and Bruce will pull back the curtain to show you their original pitch for The Last of Us… and givng everyone at this panel a look at how close or far the final game ended up from the original pitch," reads an extract from the panel's description.

Last week, Straley commented that the ending that made it into the final game "felt right for us… [we had] about three or four ideas before finding the ending that worked best for the story we wanted to tell."

Where you happy with the way the game ended? What would you have changed?
