Metal Gear Solid 5 Characters’ Physical Evolution Compared

August 5, 2013 by Stephen Daly

Images compare just how far Metal Gear Solid’s characters have come.

A new gallery has appeared on Imgur comparing the some of the characters in Metal Gear Solid 5 with their representations in earlier games in the series.

Among the characters included is Ocelot, Mantis, Liquid and Big Boss. Some of these have not yet been confirmed for Metal Gear Solid 5 or may simply be similar characters – either way, it's worth looking at the images below to see just how much the teck being used for the series has advanced over the years.

If you missed it, you can check out the game's extended E3 trailer. Hideo Kojima has said the game will offer meaningful choices to players while characters in the games have experienced great loss. The game is set in Afghanistan in 1984 and race will be a key theme.

Kojima himself seems set to appear in a cameo role in the game having been mo-capped recently.

Metal Gear Solid 5 is due for release on PS4 and Xbox One.
