Hideo Kojima Prepares for a Cameo in Metal Gear Solid 5

August 1, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

The creator of the MGS series will make an appearance in his own game.

Metal Gear Solid 5 will feature the game's creator Hideo Kojima as an easter egg, where he plays a cameo as an armed soldier of some sort.

The video game industry luminary posted photographs of his mo-cap session at Kojima Productions on Twitter today, confirming his presence in the upcoming game, which is slated for release early next year.

In the pictures, Kojima can be seen on the motion-capture floor brandishing guns and entering several poses. He also joked that he should use CQC to get out of one particular jam.

Metal Gear Solid 5 is scheduled for release on current-gen platforms like the PS3 and Xbox 360 as well as next-gen platforms the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
