Red Dead Redemption 2 Game Length Revealed

October 15, 2018 by Dennis Patrick

This game is going to take some time to complete.

We’re nearing the release of a massively anticipated video game release that is Red Dead Redemption 2. The video game has been a title that fans have been waiting for since the original installment launched back in 2010. Now nearly a decade later, we will once again get to roam the Wild West in a brand new adventure that takes place prior to the events of Red Dead Redemption. However, what may be more exciting to take note is that the game will feature a lengthy story.

In a recent interview between Dan Houser from Rockstar Games and Vulture, we finally have the answer to just how long of narrative journey players will be on. Gamers can expect a journey that will take over sixty hours to complete, but we all know that’s going to be increased quite a bit from the exploration of the world. Regardless, this narrative journey was actually a bit longer originally with about five hours cut from the game.

Dan made mention that there was a secondary love interest within the game that was ultimately decided against on and that there was a whole mission cut that dealt with bounty hunters. Apparently, the latter of the two felt a bit bland after so long with developers, however, even with the hours of the game cut, this is still going to be a lengthy adventure.

Are you ready for the sixty-hour adventure centered around Arthur Morgan and a gang that’s on the run from the law? You can pick up Red Dead Redemption 2 on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms this October 26, 2018.
