The cover of the current issue of Official Xbox Magazine has revealed that The Mad Hatter is included in Batman: Arkham Origins' list of villians.
Jervis Tetch, aka The Mad Hatter, is detailed in the magazine and scans are now doing the rounds on the internet. Hatter's role will expand on his Arkham City cameo appearance with his role in Origins being described as fighting Batman in "psychotropic" action sequences that will recall Scarecrow's sections in Arkham Asylum.
The Hatter will force Batman to overcome Alice in Wonderland themed "trippy" environments where rivers consist of tea and obstacles are made up of floating playing cards.
Among the other villians confirmed for the game are Deathstroke, a female Copperhead, the Joker, Penguin and Bane.
Arkham Origins is set on Christmas Eve and is a prequel to both Asylum and City. It sees Batman take on eight assassins over the course of the night.
The game is being developed by Warner Bros. Montreal rather than Rocksteady who created the other Arkham games. You can check out the magazine scans on VG24/7 here.
Origins was announced in April for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC for October 25th. Batman: Arkham Origins Blacklight, a spin-off for PS Vita and 3DS, will be released on the same day.
